In much of the Downtown, the Waterfront and North Plymouth, there is paid and time-limited public parking.
Public parking regulations are enforced 365 days a year from 9am-7pm including Sundays and holidays.
Whenever/wherever payment is required at metered locations on streets and in the parking lots, the cost is $1 an hour.
You risk getting a parking ticket if you neglect to pay for parking at a metered location or you don’t observe posted time limits at any parking location.
There will be NO paid parking from January 1st through March 31, 2018.
Both the metered and non-metered time-limited spaces are monitored by enforcement personnel. Outside of the core areas of town, there is no charge for public parking.
Newly Created White Horse Beach District
The Town of Plymouth has adopted the provisions of G.L. c. 90, §20A1/2 which allows the Board of Selectmen to enact parking and traffic regulations throughout the Town. These regulations are more commonly known as Traffic Rules and Orders. This statute also provides the Board of Selectmen the authority to create special parking districts with corresponding fine amounts.
Attached you will find a proposed White Horse Beach “parking district”. At a public hearing held on June 9, 2017th Town staff (Public Works, Fire, Police and Town Manager’s Office) and Selectmen Cavacco met with neighbors and interested residents of the White Horse Beach area to discuss creating said parking district. It was approved at June 20, 2017 Board of Selectman’s meeting, parking fines will be raised to $50 for those vehicles that violate the restricted parking areas within the district. Additionally, the Department of Public Works will be updating the signage in this area and will be removing any and all illegally placed signs.
Citations issued at White Horse Beach is done by the Plymouth Police Department. Park Plymouth processes the ticket for the Plymouth Police Department.
