In much of the Downtown, the Waterfront and North Plymouth, there is paid and time-limited public parking.
Public parking regulations are enforced 365 days a year from 9am-7pm including Sundays and holidays.
Whenever/wherever payment is required at metered locations on streets and in the parking lots, the cost is $1 an hour.
You risk getting a parking ticket if you neglect to pay for parking at a metered location or you don’t observe posted time limits at any parking location.
There will be NO paid parking from January 1, 2018 through March 31, 2018.
During snow emergencies the Town expects people to park their vehicles in the parking lots that Park Plymouth manages. The Town is supposed to make it possible for vehicles to get into the lots during a snow emergency and to make it possible for vehicles to leave the lots after a snow emergency. Park Plymouth will clear additional snow after vehicles have left the lots.
Howland Street Parking lot is no longer part of Park Plymouth’s parking inventory. Park Plymouth leased the parking lot for the paid parking season the last two years (April 1-Novermber 30). Unfortunately the parking lot has been recently sold and is no longer available for permit parking for the 2017 season. Any maintenance, plowing or concerns related to the Howland street should be directed to the owner of the parking lot.
Both the metered and non-metered time-limited spaces are monitored by enforcement personnel. Outside of the core areas of town, there is no charge for public parking.
If you park in a metered or an un-metered location for longer than the posted time limit your vehicle will be subject to ticketing. The only exception is a vehicle with a valid Handicap permit or plate. Customers with a valid handicap permit or plate are also exempt from paying the parking meter.
